Affiliate disclosure
Status today (2026-10-26): no affiliate links are live on this site.
If we add affiliate links
- Some links to products (for example, test kits or water softeners) may become affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Each page with such a link will say so at the start of the product mention and link to this page.
- Commissions never change a hardness number. Every number comes from the utility's report.
- We only suggest a product type where it fits the water: for example, a softener is more useful for very hard water than for soft water.
- We do not publish fake reviews or claim to have tested products we have not tested.
